Medical aid schemes make use of brokers (also known as “consultants”, “advisors” or “intermediaries”) to market their products to the public. Profmed medical aid scheme is a closed or restricted medical aid scheme, which means that only members of the public who comply with certain qualifying criteria can apply to the Scheme for membership. Only an accredited and licensed broker may provide advice and services relating to Profmed medical aid scheme. These services allow members’ day-to-day interaction with the Scheme to run as smoothly as possible.
